East Robertson High School held mock elections for students in grades 6-8 on Thursday, Oct. 27, and for students in grades 9-12 on Tuesday, Nov. 1.
All ERHS social studies teachers helped organized the events.
During enrichment periods over the past two weeks, students studied and discussed the election process, campaigning, platforms and more.
High school government students helped run the voting booths on Election Day.
A total of 627 students voted, recording the following results: 440 students voted for Donald Trump and Michael Pence; 95 voted for Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine; 49 voted for Gary Johnson and Bill Weld; 17 voted for Jill Stein and Ajamu Baraka; and 18 voted for Rocky De La Fuente and Michael Stein.
The remainder of the students voted for other independent candidates.
